Ahead of the 2020 local council elections, Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has announced an exciting new innovation that will increase tourism to Brisbane.
“Tourists always arrive to this city and think ‘huh, this is it’ and we honestly don’t blame them” said Schrinner. “Considering our biggest attraction is a man-made beach in the middle of a garden, we really do understand why people avoid this place”.
However, the new plan would see Brisbane rebrand itself as “the Other Gold Coast”.
Like One Direction post Zayne or every director in Hollywood post MeToo, Brisbane wants to make people realise that the past they had should be ignored and that they’re committed to improvement.
From a personal perspective, the Lord Mayor says he hopes this gets his name out to people, especially considering we had to Google him to write this.
